MATRIX 160 x 160 cm Silver Threads

Rubelli, one of the world's most renowned makers of premium textiles and Alexander's Collection, a niche couture brand for the first time introduce fabric as a quint essence of decoration and High Art.

Art workshops of the world-famous Alexander's Collection open a new trend, intended to be introduced to the art market as a new look at contemporary art and its organic application in the world's most iconic interiors.

13 craftsmen in a small workshop create museum level artworks in collaboration with renowned artists, using their original works to translate them into never before used materials at museum exhibit level. This is Art for a select few with aesthetic preferences above the stereotypes imposed by the art market. Not every artist is suitable for this purpose, no matter how famous he or she is.

The new trend in contemporary art requires tremendous work to tailor an artist's original artwork in order to bring it to life in unique materials. It takes from 6 months to 2 years for the world-class masters to make masterpieces of this kind in a unique piece.

Gold embroidery masters reproduce the artist's designs by means of hand embroidery in silk, gold and silver threads over premium specially selected fabrics.

Alexander's Collection and its principal designer drew attention to the unique fabrics of Rubelli, Italy, to develop the unique textures and effects required for their work. The construction of these fabrics and their unusual application elevates them to the category of high art.

For the first Rubelli fabrics, the patterns are selected to reflect Alexander's Collection's demand for quality and uniqueness.

The works will be launched in the course of 2025.

March-April 2005

Large-scale panels “Matrix” and “Feb”, made in hand embroidery technique with silver threads and black silk. A novel embroidery technique is used for the first time to gain the desired effect. The pattern appears from the combination of black dots arranged on the surface of the fabric with different density. Like Impressionist paintings, where paint strokes are only seen up close, the full picture can be seen from a distance.

May-June 2005

The world will see a large-scale triptych inspired by a American watercolor artist Misha Lenn.

Rubelli fabric with gold threads woven into the base is used, giving a light dusting of gold dust on the surface. The work itself is hand embroidered with silver and gold threads.

Three works of art will be shown to the audience, united by a common theme: from the series “Travels” - “Theatrical Venice”, ‘Walking through Hong Kong’ and ”Dancing Paris”

The aim was to show different cities and countries through the traveler's feelings about a particular city and the relationships between people. The cities are shown here not through recognizable buildings, but through details, symbols, feelings and emotions. All symbols are delicately woven into the images, leaving the viewer the chance to find the hidden signs themselves.

And connecting everything that was found and seen by the viewer, he indirectly becomes a participant in the action taking place on the artwork.

The faces of the protagonists are half depicted, a signature style of the artist recognizable throughout the world. It also symbolizes dualism, the opposition of mind and body, mental and physical, soul and physical body.
