Dancing Paris Tapestry

Wall tapestry made in silk, silver and golden metallic threads  embroidery technique

Size: L155 H220 D0.5 cm

The mood of the paitapestry is Parisian chic and boundless romance.

Each couple has its own relationship. The romantic unity and playfulness of the upper couple contrasts with the stormy relationship of the couple with the umbrellas.

The top couple has a relationship at the romantic “candy-bouquet” stage, as the flowers on the girl's dress tell us.

The bottom couple is probably at a stage that cannot be called platonic, which is hinted at by the piquant location of the heart on the girl's dress. They are independent, yet there is something unifying between them. Each of them has an umbrella - his own system of protection from the outside world.

At the same time on the umbrella in the hands of a young man on the perimeter you can see recognizable symbols of mill blades. This is a symbol of the famous “Moulin Rouge”, which means “red mill”.
The girl holds in her hand a fan with a golden square.

The background of the painting depicts hearts, openwork gloves and dresses, romantic rain with Parisian umbrellas.
Happiness seems to fall from the sky, in the form of stylized squares.

The symbol of Paris is the heraldic lily. This brings to mind Milady from Alexandre Dumas's Three Musketeers.

This series was designed to show different cities and countries through the traveler's feelings about a particular city and the relationships between people. The cities are shown here not through recognizable images of buildings, but through patterns, symbols, feelings and emotions. All symbols are delicately woven into the images, leaving the viewer the chance to find the hidden signs themselves.

By connecting everything that has been found and seen by the viewer, he indirectly becomes a participant in the action taking place in the tapestry.

The faces of the characters are half depicted, this is the signature style of the artist, recognizable all over the world. It also symbolizes dualism, the opposition of mind and body, mental and physical, soul and physical body.

As an accent element, in each of the three compositions we see a golden square.  It symbolizes the soul and also represents the permanence of our view of the world, with Rhea, the Mother of the gods, and the four corners being air (Hera), water (Aphrodite), earth (Demeter), and fire (Hestia).

Each tapestry is a unique creation of combining the skill of drawing and the thoughts of the artist with the painstaking labor of master weavers, which took about a year to make.
